Tips for Throwing a Fun and Easy Backyard Bash!

With summer here, we know the parties are starting!  Here are a few tips and tricks to help you throw a perfect backyard bash!

  • Pool Party!
    • This is a great way to have people get out of the heat and have a great time! Purchase some floaties, cold beverages, and a bathing suit!

  • What to serve?
    • Everybody loves a good BBQ. This could be as simple as hot dogs and burgers, all the way to a rack of ribs.  Burgers and hot dogs are the easiest and cheapest options. Make sure to have all the fixings to go on top!

  • Drinks anyone?
    • Most importantly, with the upcoming heat, make sure you have PLENTY of water for your guests.  For those who are of age, think fun fruity drinks. Margaritas, martinis, mojitos, sangria for the woman.  Beer is always a great option for the men of the group. For those who are not of age, pop, lemonade, iced tea, and Shirley Temples are great ideas!

  • Time to Sing and Dance
    • A fun Idea to get people up and dancing is to have a playlist already made on your phone so there are no commercials. You can have a mix of pop, country, and upbeat dance mixes. Make sure you have must in your playlist for everyone there, throw in some older tunes for parents and pop for the kids.

  • Activities and Games
    • Bring your favourite card games, cards against humanity or even just a deck of cards. Lawn darts, the children safe set, ring toss, volleyball, badminton, soccer ball, and to top it off, WATER BALLOONS.  Get into teams and have a water balloon fight. This can incorporate all the adults and children to have fun together.

  • Guest List
    • Invite everyone you want!  The most important thing is to ask for RSVP’s about a week before the party. This is so you know how much food and drink to have so you do not run out
